then, 2 of the last updates were, "winter is coming 😇" - just couldn't feel the heat 🧣 of the season.. and now that we have checked ગિરનાર ⛰️, the same was "winter is here 😇" - just couldn't feel the heat 🔆 anymore.. similarly and as per followed practice, in Feb, as and when (when and as) SRT wraps-up ✅, winter will be done and dusted.. सांगायचं हेच की, the definition of winter has changed to, 'ગિરનાર to SRT' 😏.. होईलच परत हा विषय फेब्रुवारी मध्ये.. बोलू तेव्हा अजून..

गेल्यावर्षी आलो होतो (read detailed post here), तेव्हाच 'ગિરનાર सुद्धा, नवसकाळी आणि SRT सारखा yearly event व्हायला पाहिजे 👍', असा प्रस्ताव मांडण्यात आला आणि म्हणूनच तुम्ही आता हा लेख (second edition) वाचत 📜 आहात.. group (बऱ्यापैकी) तोच - थोडेफार जे बदल आहेत, ते म्हणजे - ➖ प्रशांत वजा (वर Bcc मध्ये नमूद केलेला प्रशांत वेगळा), आणि ➕ ओंकार, तुषार आणि सुयोग जमा झाले होते.. मागच्या वर्षी प्रमाणेच, or more appropriately, नेहमीप्रमाणेच 😝, महेश cancelled last minute week.. so, we 8 were to start our 🛤️ 11088 journey, on second ✌️ Thursday of this year's December, unlike last year's first ☝️..

જય ગિરનારી

while the hiking matters were to be same as last year's itinerary 📑, the follow-up actions actions those were planned to follow ⏭️ were slightly different.. (unchanged) ludo 🃏 and Somnath 🛕 along with (changed) chain reaction 🔗 and a Gir Safari 🦁 were plan of the people, by the people and for the people in Bcc, and I was (changed) to return via the same 11087 🚂, same route as used during the 'to' travel (same TTE 🧑‍✈️)..

अजून काय वेगळं होतं तर मागच्या वर्षी प्रसादने reference दिलेल्या ज्या आश्रम-cum-hotel मध्ये थांबलो 🛌 होतो, तिथे लग्न असल्यामुळे ह्यावेळेसही फजिती नको म्हणून दिवेकर काका (दर महिन्याला) जिथे थांबता, ते आश्रम try करायचं ठरलं 👌..

आधार card extras (महेश special) -

१. ह्या वेळेस, 'महेश cancel 🚫 झाला आहे', हे सगळ्यांना माहिती नसल्यामुळे, वैभवने तो राहत असलेल्या areaच्या 🏙️ आसपासच्या membersला गुरुवारी संध्याकाळी जेव्हा "पुणे stationला कसं जायचंय? महेश, सुयोग, सुशील?" विचारलं, तेव्हा राहुल उत्तरला, "महेशचं फक्त आधार card 🎫 येणार आहे"..

२. मागच्या वेळेस मात्र महेशच्या ticket 🎟️ आणि आधार card वर प्रशांत आला होता - (somehow) धकून गेलं 😊.. ह्या वेळेसचा TTE असलं काही खपवून घेईल, असं दिसत नव्हतं 🙍.. so, बरं झालं, भूषण आणि परमेश्वर नाही म्हणाले आणि महेशचं ticket cancel केल्याचं पथ्यात पडलं..

ઉપરકોટ કિલ્લો

बाकी मग, blogचा विषय trekking असल्याने, જૂનાગઢच्या sightseeing 🏰 मधल्या भुईकोट ઉપરકોટ किल्ल्याबद्दल जास्त न लिहिता, फक्त इतकंच सांगेल, 'જૂનાગઢला कधी गेलात तर नक्की भेटून या' 👍.. आश्रम बदलायचा निर्णय ठीक ठरला खरं पण फक्त तात्पुरता.. रात्री १२ वाजता 🕛 आलेल्या groupने गोंधळ घालून आमची झोप तर उडवलीच, शिवाय वैभव काही जास्त दूर झोपला / घोरत नव्हता 😴.. but a gesture not worth ignoring also is Lalit arranging ગોંડલ famous ગાંઠીયા and જલેબી for all 8 of us 🙏.. met him f2f first time, though working together 👨‍💻 for last more than a year now..

पहाटे / रात्री २ वाजता 🕑 गजर वाजयच्या आधीच जाग आली.. smartphone बघितला तर '१ तास आधीपासूनच जे alarmचं notification दिसायला सुरुवात होते, ते का दिसत नाही?', हे बघायला गेलो तर a.m. / p.m. चा गोंधळ फक्त Lucky Singh (लगे रहो मुन्ना भाई) किंवा bellbottom 🎬 जाणून-बुजून करत नसतात, तर कधी-कधी आपल्याकडूनही नकळत होत असतो, हे (परत) लक्षात आलं 😬.. 'परत' म्हणजे, this was not my first time 🤦 too.. btw, तारीख दाखवणाऱ्या analog घड्याळात दुपारच्या १२ वाजता तारीख बदलत असेल तर उपाय काय? 🤔 बूझो तो जाने.. असो,

एकाच room-cum-hall मध्ये झोपलेलो असूनही सर्वांनीच गजर ⏰ लावले होते.. ठरलेल्या वेळेत आवरून आम्ही 🕒 ३च्या आत घरा बाहेर होतो - '७च्या आत घरात' सारखंच काहीतरी.. ८ जणांमध्ये आपोआप ३ groups झाले जेव्हा आम्ही पाऊले टाकायला सुरुवात केली.. for obvious reasons तुषार आणि प्रशांतने head-start 🏃‍♂️ घेतली.. राहुल आणि राहुल सोबत ह्या वेळेस होता ओंकार.. सर्वात लहान असल्यामुळे त्याच्या कोवळ्या जोशला कसलाच तोटा नव्हता ☺️.. काही वेळातच त्यांनी अगदी क्रूरपणे head-start वाल्यांचा उत्साह नाहीसा केला 👽.. सूयोगने कदाचित पहिल्यांदाच hiking पोटी, त्याचे दुसरे plan(s) adjust केले असावेत 🤘.. राहिलो मग मी आणि वैभव, ह्या groupचे कदाचित togetherest hiking buddies 😀.. म्हणजे काय? तर, भावनाओं को समझो..

वाटेत दिसतील त्या सर्वांना (ગુજરાતી असो वा महाराष्ट्रीयन) "જય ગિરનારી" अभिवादन 🙏 करत आम्ही unexpectedly superfast / non-stop 🚷 पद्धतीने आगेकूच करत होतो.. वर जाऊन आरती होत नाही, तो पर्यंत थांबण्याशिवाय काहीही पर्याय नाही, हे माहिती असून सुद्धा weatherचा योग्य तो उपयोग, म्हणजेच सदुपयोग करण्यात आला..

the regular December season was time and again landing hard and full, accompanied by intervalized breeze 🌪️.. म्हणजे काय? तर, बोचरी वा काटेरी थंडी.. आता हे काय? तर, भावनाओं को समझो.. "intervalize" - छान शब्द आहे ना?.. that triggers another question - by any chance, do you know 🤨 the process of vocabularizing? "vocabularize" - another good one, is it not?..

साधारण ०४:२० ला जैन मंदिरे, ०४:४५ ला अंबाजी मंदिर, ०५:०० वाजता 🕔 श्री दत्तात्रेय चरण पादुका / संस्थानची कमान ⛩️ cross करून आम्ही ०५:१५ ला लागलो रांगेत.. काय केलं नंतर? तर, तासभर कुडकुडत होतो 🥶.. तिथेच ओंकारने मला भरपूर शिव्या 😖 दिल्या असाव्यात, कारण काल संध्याकाळीच त्याने (room-cum-hallच्या दुसऱ्या कोपऱ्यातून) इशारे करत 'jacket 🧥 लागेल का?' विचारल्यावर त्याला मान डोलवत ❌ 'नाही' म्हणालो होतो.. तेव्हा नसतील दिल्या तर ह्या ओळी वाचून आता देत असेल.. पण नाही, साधा भोळा आहे 😌, असं काही करायची फितरत नाही त्याची..

आम्हा दोघांच्या (मी आणि वैभव) आधीपासून २५ मिनिट अधिक कुडकुडायचा आनंद घेणाऱ्या / सहन करणाऱ्या राहुलचा शोध घेत पायऱ्यांवर पहिल्यांदा जिथे बसलो तिथे शेजारीच शेकोटी 🔥 असल्यामुळे थोडीफार ऊब भेटत तर होती पण भरपूर धुरही 😷 सहन करावा लागत होता - 'कुछ पाने के लिए कुछ खोना पड़ता है' सारखंच काहीतरी.. आमच्या वर बसलेले अजून वर सरकले म्हणून आम्हीही त्यांचा पाठलाग करत धुरापलीकडे डेरा टाकला 😊.. काही वेळात, म्हणजे ०५:४० दरम्यान तुषार आणि प्रशांत आले.. त्यांच्या पाठोपाठ (५ मिनिटात) सुयोगही हाजर.. all in, before time 👏.. for some reason (आता फक्त बर्फच पडायचा बाकी होता), some of us again thought of putting efforts in trying in favour of hopes towards getting in a better position, duly respecting the chilling weather ❄️.. me and राहुल रामपुरा were unmoved..

police personnel 👮‍♂️ and the sages 🐚 were now indefinitely delaying beyond our incompetent preparation to fight against the weather odds.. 'आता तरी या, तांबडं फुटायला सुरुवात झाली आहे, आमचे गोरखनाथ मंदिर वाले photo 📸 miss होतील' म्हणत we could do nothing more than only and also hope of their asap arrival.. till then the crowd 👥 was multiplying in numbers and beyond.. as we now got used to the sufferings, and sunrise 🌄 could also be seen round the corner, finally we observed some proceedings from the other end..

दर्शन घेऊन झाल्यावर एकंदरीत आमच्या लक्षात आलं होतं की photo काढायच्या योग्य वेळेत, आपण परत गोरखनाथ मंदिरापर्यंत पोहचू शकत नाही 😔.. but that craving also doesn't qualify enough in skipping the सुपीक breakfast served here.. म्हणून खाली परततांना ગુજરાત special साठी अल्पविराम घेत 🍮, गाडीची टाकी full करून 🤤 group photo काढत खडी चढाई करायला सुरुवात केली..

finally, everybody took their own time ⏳ and poses 🕺 to capture solo moments at today's highest point.. by the way, the view from here is closest to the Google Keyboard's mountain emoji ⛰️.. Tushar opted a ropeway 🚡 return - Prashant accompanied him.. rest of us were off to non-stop descending journey towards and till the first step.. jain temples were still under-construction - 'still' as in, same as last year.. user-friendly monkeys 🐒 (in numbers and beyond) is another characteristics of this place..

attaching the recording of the activity, probably first time in this blog (58 articles till date).. the red line observed is the ropeway 🚡 till અંબાજી માતા temple, more than halfway (from the first step) till the दत्तात्रेय मंदिर..

another thing, what we could not ignore but notice and thought of putting a logic behind 🧠, was - may be because of slope of the ropeway, the supporting structures are not exactly perpendicular to the ground level..

last but not the least.. unfinished topic from last year's post.. the melodious tune 🎵 that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the first step is,
